IIChron.7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble

themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

DEAD ON THE VINE

Let’s talk about, What are “wicked ways”...

   that religion has tried to define;

I don’t mean, “the fruit”; Let’s talk about “roots”...

   that will cut-off the supply to the vine.

Well, let’s find out, since you’re called by His Name,

   if you could be guilty of doing the same;

But, if you’re not “humble”; open to being wrong,

   you will keep on singing The Pharisee’s Song!

Right off the bat, He said, “The love of money...”;

   meaning, what it will do to you,

“is the root of all evil”, so that settles that;

   Has ‘that’ dependancy affected what you do?

It has with me, in my dependance, more than I like to admit;

   I don’t mean, ‘good works’ or ‘needy causes’;

Have I justified rather than get...

all my needs met by inheritance; His way that He promised to me?

   I’d have to say, Yes! I’ve carried each load;

But, there is still time to let that be exposed.

I notice, He said, “seek my face”; He didn’t say, Be condemned;

   I notice, He said, “Turn to me”; not pick off rotten fruit, if you can.

He said, “I will hear” and “I will forgive” and “I will heal”.. where you are;

   My way will produce an inheritance for your use...and no one will be cold or starve. 

Truly, The Good News of The Kingdom of God;

   Not really hard to explain;

Yet, not what I thought corporate power was about;

   I need the power of His Name...

to have the courage to represent Him...

   and I want the inheritance that His children get!

How else can ‘my fruit’ glorify Him,

   if ‘the root’ of His death won’t share Life’s substance with men?  

There could be few at that prayer group...

   but, maybe He’ll make an appearance;

You can be sure, that would open The Door...

   and, didn’t He say that, in Heaven, He’d hear it?
